Dental Bridges in Emmitsburg, MD

A fixed restoration replacing one or more missing teeth, anchored to the neighboring teeth or to implants. Restores chewing and keeps the bite aligned.

A bridge fills a gap with an artificial tooth anchored to the teeth on either side, or to implants. It is fixed in place — nothing comes out at night.

Beyond appearance, a bridge does structural work. Teeth drift toward a gap over time, and once the bite goes out of alignment the problems multiply into the neighboring teeth and the jaw joint. Filling the space early prevents that chain.

Where the adjacent teeth are healthy and untouched, an implant is often the better long-term choice because it leaves them alone. Where they already need crowns, a bridge does two jobs at once.

Common questions

How long does a bridge last?

Ten to fifteen years is typical, longer with good hygiene.

Bridge or implant?

Depends on the neighboring teeth and the bone. We'll walk you through both, with costs.
